This Honey Pear Crisp is lightly sweetened with honey and topped with a light, buttery streusel to allow the delicate flavor of the pears to shine through!


Ingredients


Filling


4 cups pears, diced
1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp cinnamon


Topping


2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup quick oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter, cold and cut into pieces


Directions



  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly spray an 8x8 inch or equivalent sized baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. Combine pears, lemon juice, and honey together in a bowl. Gently toss to coat. Sprinkle cornstarch and cinnamon over pears. Gently stir to coat.

  3. Whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Pour filling into baking dish. Sprinkle on topping.

  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown.

  6. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving warm.
