When an entire turkey is too much food for your family, but you still want those traditional Thanksgiving foods on your plate, try these Turkey Burgers with Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce! Make your favorite homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce, then use ground turkey to make the patties!
Ingredients
1 Pound Ground Turkey
1 Large Egg
1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
1/4 Cup Onion, finely chopped
1/2 Teaspoon Dried Sage (or 1 ½ Teaspoons Fresh, chopped)2 Teaspoons Chopped Fresh Rosemary (or 2/3 Teaspoon Dried)
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper
3 Cups Stuffing, prepared
6 Slices Provolone Cheese
6 Tablespoons Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce, prepared
6 Potato Rolls
Butter
Olive Oil
Directions
1. Place ground turkey, egg, bread crumbs, onion, sage, rosemary, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. Divide mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into burger patties. (Tip: You can form the patties using a 1/3 dry measuring cup to ensure equal-sized portions.)
2. Heat 1-2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add burger patties and cook until burgers are cooked through, approximately 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
3. Form the prepared stuffing into 6 equal-sized portions and place one atop each burger in the pan. Top with provolone cheese and heat, covered, until cheese has melted.
4. Slice potato rolls in half and toast until golden. Butter the rolls and top each with a turkey burger and a spoonful of cranberry sauce. Serve.
