Developed in our very own region, the Empire apple gets its roots from Cornell University and was named after our very own Empire State. History aside, this apple is the perfect on-the-go snack due to the fact that it doesn't easily bruise. That, and its perfectly delicious crunch, of course!
Store in slightly open plastic bags in the crisper drawer.
