This Certified Organic coffee is produced in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region of Colombia. It's home to 30,000 indigenous peoples including the Kankuamos, Kogui, Arhuaco, and Wiwi peoples, who all continue to honor their traditional cultural lifestyles in the isolated mountain regions. The region is known for being a dedicated coffee-producing community made up of small farmer families. Due to its varying climate and biodiversity, it was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1979.
