In 1976 Paul and Cynthia O’Mara decided to start “O’Mara Farms”. Their vision was to produce high-quality food to feed as many people as possible. Their first venture was growing Snap Beans, and Squash for Birds Eye. The vegetables were rotated with Corn and Wheat. In 1978 they bought their first farm in Canastota, New York. The first of four children was born that same year and they now have twelve grandchildren.
Over the years Paul and Cindy grew the farm business branching into other crops including the Non GMO Barley they use today to finish their Black Angus cattle producing the highest quality meat possible. The cattle enterprise was added in 2005 with the purchase of five Black Angus cows. Their entire herd has expanded from those first five cows. Together with their son Scott, and several dedicated employees, including Cory and Chrissy Claudio, the O’Mara Family continues to strive to produce the best possible farm products for their very special customers.

We are proud NY Grown & Certified producers. What does NY Grown & Certified mean? It means that our product & farm have been inspected for safe food handling, animal welfare & environmental stewardship. It also lets you know that our food was grown with tender loving care, right here in New York State!
Our beef is never treated with antibiotics or hormones, we are GMO-free.
Our cattle are finished on pasture and farm-grown non-GMO barley, which we feel gives it a unique flavor.
Our animals are processed at a USDA facility & sealed individually in vacuum bags to ensure freshness. Each cut of our product has complete traceability to our animals.
We promise to bring the finest meat from our farm to your table, as well as the story behind it.
