This salt is flavored with black limes (ripe limes that are dried in the sun until they oxidize, turning it black and savory). Along with Urfa Chili flakes, this sea salt packs a punch.
This salt is a collaboration between Syracuse Salt Company and Burlap & Barrel, a Public Benefit Corporation that partners directly with smallholder farmers to source spices that have never been available in the U.S. before and help improve the livelihoods of their partner farmers. Both Black LIme and Urfa Chili spices originate in Guatemala and Turkey.
